The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that Sheriff Glenn Boyer has been selected by the American Legion State of Missouri as the recipient of the 2008 Law and Order Award. 

Sheriff Boyer was nominated by the Festus American Legion Post 253, of which he is a member. 

On being notified by State Adjutant, Lynn M. Dorrell, Sheriff Boyer stated, “To have been simply nominated for the award is an honor, but to have actually been selected from a pool of nominations from throughout the state is amazing.”  The Sheriff added that he wishes to thank his home post, American Legion Post 253, for nominating him and the American Legion State of Missouri for bestowing such a prestigious honor on him.
